Wax Museum

The twins recently got to participate in the 3rd grade wax museum project for school. They were so excited when they got to portray their first pick's of someone from history.

Zaden got to represent Neil Armstrong

And Zaric got to play the one and only Elvis

They did such a great job and remained still like the statues they were even when Mom tried to take silly selfies with them.

And we all learned a few new facts about these historical men. Can't beat that!

Weekend alone

As mentioned in the previous post, the kids went to Papa's for the weekend.  So , we took full advantage and played, played, played.

We went to breakfast on Saturday and tried out a place we'd never been to before.
Then we did some shopping and pre-bday prep for the twins upcoming party and decided that ice cream for lunch was as good as anything.
And then we had a group of friends over for pizza, drinks and game night. So many laughs and drinks were had. It was seriously the best time.  We were having so much fun we forgot to take pics....ooops!  Always love when we get a kid-free weekend to relax and reconnect.

St. Patrick's Day 2017

St. Patty's day this year was filled with a lot of green and fun.  First we attempted once again to catch one of those pesky leprechauns and set this cool trap that Dad constructed.
We missed again! But at least he left us some treasures from his pot of gold.
Then we dressed to the 9's in green.

And we went about our day, not getting pinched!  At the end of the day, the kids got to go to Papa's for the weekend and we got to have a little date night.  We decided to open up grilling season at home and  grill some garlic burgers as well as try to make some homemade fried pickles to go with our curly fries. They turned out amazing!  And Mike fixed us some strong green mixed drinks.
Afterwards Mike had scheduled us a couples massage. It was wonderful and we spent the rest of the night relaxed.  Now, that's holiday, right?
