I am so excited that I was able to pull off another quick Vegas trip to see my beloved NKOTB.
It was a quick 2 day get away for me and part of a business trip for Mike, but it worked out perfectly. Mike left a day ahead of me to get in some extra time at his Vegas location and I flew down early the next morning while Papa and Grandma stayed here with the kids and got them off to school for the day. Once I arrived at the airport, Mike picked me up and took me to one of our favorites for breakfast, Hash House a Go Go. Where we enjoyed a nice breakfast together and then he was back off to the office for a while. I took some time and explored some of the nearby casinos that I hadn't explored before or at least parts of them I hadn't gone in before. I was a little worried about being alone for several hours, but it turned out to not be so bad and the time went by fast, plus I made a few new friends. They were a little pink, in nature, but they kept me good company.
Then I walked to the Fashion Show mall to meet up with my cousin Kendra who lives in Vegas and her adorable little boy Landen for some lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and some shopping. We had a great chat and lunch and wandered around in a few stores. Nothing really jumped out at either us us to buy (Mike was thankful) but it was still a nice outing. I realized after that I had forgotten to take any pics of our time together. Doh! Next time! After we were done, she was nice enough to drive me to Mike's office since he was just about done for the day.
We left the office shortly after that and went to check in at the hotel. After some hotel debacles, we ended up staying out at the Hilton in Lake Las Vegas again. We relaxed a bit and then got ready for the main event, the concert!
Mike and I enjoyed a nice dinner date at the Hard Rock on the strip and then met up with a couple of his co-workers for the concert.
The concert opened with Nelly, who I have to admit was better than I thought he would be. Then there was a little TLC action that I wasn't too fond of. But then.....oh then! The boys came out and rocked our night with almost 3 hours of fun.
I danced, I sang, I lost my voice screaming and wore myself out but it was so worth it. Every last second.
