Lake Tahoe- Part 2 (Anniversary Trip Day 1)

After our stop, we went driving to our next destination, but first we  stopped by Inspiration Point Overlook to snap some pics of the lake.

Then we were off to try to find the Glen Alpine Falls (or Fallen Leaf Falls).  We took a couple wrong turns and got a little lost along the way but that was part of the fun and when we arrived, it was so worth it. Here's some shots at the falls of the falls and surrounding topography. Gorgeous and very non-touristy.

Of course Mike took advantage and played in the water a bit.

Then on the way out, we made a stop at Fallen Leaf Lake where the falls run to. Absolutely Gorgeous!

Then one more stop on a turnout where we took a little walk through the woods and gathered up some giant pine cones to bring home to the kids.   Then it was time to head back toward South Lake Tahoe and into town.
