The other side of 17 Mile Drive comes out in Pacific Grove, which worked out well because I had wanted to stop at Lover's Point there anyway. After being there a bit, the fog finally lifted some and we got to enjoy some sunshine while walking around and getting some photo's together with the tri-pod near the water and near some of the few remaining wild flowers there.
Then unfortunately we had to get back on the road for the remaining trip back to San Francisco to fly home. We made one little stop in San Jose for some lunch then went straight to the airport. It was a long flight home with a delayed layover in Phoenix, but once we finally arrived we were greeted with these gems the kids had made for us with Grandma Braska while we were gone. Then greeted with lots of loves in the morning when they awoke.
What a fun trip and nice get away. We came home broke and exhausted. A sure sign of a great time, right? A special thanks to Mike again for going along with my crazy ideas and exhausting itineraries. And to Grandma Braska for being willing to fly out to watch the kiddo's for the week and keeping them busy and happy. We are truly fortunate to be able to do things like this once in a while and I am always thankful each and every time we do.
