We made our way back into south Lake Tahoe and stopped at a gift shop for the required souvenirs and then we decided to hit up one of our favorites, Hard Rock Cafe, for dinner. Every time we go to a new city that has one, we try to hit it up and I get myself a Tshirt from the gift shop while I'm there. So we found it and had a delicious dinner together and picked up a new shirt.
After dinner, we took some time to rest a bit in the casino it was inside of and chatted and called to check in on Grandma and the kids, then we were off to the main event. The sunset over the lake. After researching some sites, it was suggested that Nevada Beach was the best beach to watch the sunset at Lake Tahoe, so we decided to give it a try. And boy we were not disappointed. The beach had very few other people on it when we arrived and even fewer before the sun set. I snapped some pics before the sun set .
And then behold the beauty that happened right then over the next few minutes.
After we had our fill and took about 500 pictures of it (ok that might be a slight exaggeration). We drive the other side of the lake up to North Lake Tahoe where our hotel room was waiting for us. We took advantage of every last bit of light there was watching the lake along that drive then enjoyed driving through and checking out the town of North Lake Tahoe which seemed small and slightly less touristy than the south side (wish we'd had more time to explore for sure). But I had been able to score a smokin' deal at the Ritz-Carlton and there was no more time to waste! We arrived and got checked in. We quickly found the room then took a stroll through the Ritz ogling at how beautiful it was. We stopped in the arcade and played a couple games and then relaxed in the room with the fireplace blazing for a bit. Afterwards, we slept like babies in pure comfort for the night.
