The Nutcracker- Faith's First Ballet

Faith has been asking for a couple years to go watch some "real ballerinas" on the stage. She was finally old enough this year to go see the Nutcracker, so Dad was nice enough to get the two of us tickets for my birthday for a little girls date. We dressed up and hit up her choice for lunch,Cheesecake Factory to start.

Then we walked over to the theater. She was mesmerized during the performance and made it the whole way through.  And we also got some fun pics in our seats, the pretty stairs and with the nutcrackers in the lobby.

It was the perfect matinee date for us. We also got the chance to attend the Sugar Plum party after the performance on stage. Pics coming when they are released.

Letters to Santa

The 2016 official letters to Santa were written over some hot cocoa and mailed off by Mom in the morning.  We are anxiously awaiting the big day! 

If You Decorate, He Will Come

The Halls are decked for Christmas 2016! 

And this little guy showed up, riding in on a starfish and wearing a hula skirt with a message telling us  to go see the newest Disney movie, Moana, in theaters. We happily obliged!

Not too bad of a plan for a Sunday if you ask me.

Another Year Wiser

My birthday came and went as well and I'd like to think I'm another year wiser. My Bday this year also had 2 parts.  For the first part, my boss and I teamed up for a combined painting party as her birthday is just a day away from mine.  A few friends, co-workers and family members came to help us out as we painted these masterpieces among-st snacks and drinks.

The next day, for my actual birthday, the kids started me off with breakfast in bed (which had to be shared) and then an impromptu pajama ballet performance.

Then it was gift time. Do my friends and family know me or what? 

We went out and did a little shopping then came home for some Bday pie.  

Then I got to go out for a quiet date with my favorite guy to my favorite steakhouse.

It was an amazing day and I am one lucky lady with this little family who loves me so.

The Big 13- Part 2

For part 2 of becoming a teenager, he wanted a mostly quiet day at home for the actual day of.  We started the day with presents from Mom and Dad.

Lots of Giants stuff, madden 17 and the wireless headphones he'd been craving.  He then asked for a bro date with Dad. They headed out for some brunch and then to see the movie Dr. Strange together.
Afterwards he came home to a stack of his favorite donuts, sprinkled with gold as it was his golden birthday,  and another round of Happy Birthday sung to him.

 He says it was a great day!

The Big 13- Part 1

We are officially the parents of a teenager! Sounds weird to say that. But it's true! This guy turned 13 in style. For part 1 he asked that he get to hang out with some of his friends and do a little bowling and laser tag. And we did just that!  Everyone that he invited came and we had a great time! 

Grizz-2016 Season Closed

This guy has another great season of football under his belt. He played hard and his team did so well. They made it through the playoffs and into the championship game.  

Unfortunately they took a loss on the last game, but boy was it a good one to watch! I'm so proud of this guy and his latest season as #46 for the Grizzlies.

Paint Nite- Take (?)

I've lost track of the number of Paint Nites I've attended. But this one in October was one of the most fun ones. I had a great time with some co-workers painting the night away.

Look at those beauties! Oh and the flowers didn't turn out so bad either.
