Ouren Updates

I attempted to get pictures of all three boys in their Halloween skeleton shirts for this post but this is what I kept getting. Zaric was on the move that day. This is pretty much how it is every time we try to do group photo's lately. One of both of the twins is not cooperating. The poor photographer that gets to take our Christmas photo this year has their work cut out for them.

So I had to corner them each individually. So we'll start with Zaric. Zaric was 21 lbs 10 oz at the Dr. visit on Tuesday and had grown to a whopping 30 1/2 inches. He is still super smiley most of the time and is showing signs of being my big trouble maker. He is always up to something and is constantly testing Mom and Dad's limits. His ear tubes seem to be working well. We've only had one infection since getting them in early June which is a huge improvement for him. He jabbers a lot and had really taking a new liking to the spring pony the last few days. He also loves to give big sloppy open-mouth kisses. He is working on cutting some new teeth so has been pretty crabby and whiney this week. Hopefully they come soon.
Zaden weighed in at 21 lbs 11.6 oz and was 31 3/4 inches. So only slightly bigger than his brother which is pretty normal. He has taking a liking to yelling at things and people even if it's incoherent, you know he means business. He is a total clown at home, always doing stuff to make Mom and Dad laugh. But when we go around other people he turns into shy boy. It baffles us. He had a little bit of inflammation in his ear at the Dr. office so we are doing a preemptive treating to avoid a full-blown infection. Otherwise he's coming along great. He is still my snuggle bear and loves to be held and cuddled. Both boys are a little behind in speech (which comes with being premature) and Caleb was too at their age. So we aren't too worried about it yet. We'll see what happens over the next few months.
Caleb is still being your typical big brother and picking on the twins. He is still loving school and this 3 week break is about to kill him. He is excited that Mom is working again because that means he gets to go back to Heidi's and play with the kids in her day care every day that Mom works. He spends all hours of the morning asking me if it's time to go yet. He is learning a lot of sight words at school and has been picking them out of book when I read with him. We are pleased with his progress already in the reading area. He is really excited for Halloween this year and even more excited for his 6th Birthday (dinosaur themed) in just over a month. He has wanted to be involved in the planning this year, which is fun. He's helped me make his invitations
and another little project we worked on (pics to come). He wants to party it up in Price this year at Papa's house of course.

Mom and Dad are still hanging in there. Somedays it seems by only a thread. Work is going ok for me. I am catching on a little more every day. The people are nice but really don't talk to me much which makes it hard. You know I can only stay quiet for so long. :) Otherwise I have been trying to find more time to scrapbook and find fun projects to do with my Cricut and also projects to do with the kids. Mike's work is busy, he puts in a full day there and then comes home and does some more here a lot of nights. He works so hard and we are really proud of him and his new position. He is also still so very good about helping with the kids. He has had to take on even more with me working like cooking dinner every night and running some errands with all 3 boys in tow and although he complains a lot, he's really adapting well.

Well that's about it for now. Thanks to everyone that reads my blog for checking in on us so often. It's so great to have our little family be so loved. I appreciate you all.
