Thanksgiving Break -5 days of Fun

I love Thanksgiving and everything that goes with it. This year was certainly a fun time with friends and family doing all things Thanksgiving and early Christmas time.

We started off on Wednesday afternoon after I got off work and headed to Price. Once we got there we made out yearly plans to go on our niece date. This year we also invited our nephew Taylor along for the ride. We had some yummy pizza at Pizza Hut and then went to see Catching Fire.
Thursday morning it was up early to go to the Thanksgiving morning sale at Kmart where I scored some awesome deals. And then over to Papa's for the rest of the morning and Thanksgiving dinner. The kids loved being there and playing with cousins and soaking up Papa and Grandma loves. Here's a couple pics of Faith's turkey outfit and her and Wyatt taking a nap together on Papa. Not a great picture of Papa (sorry).

After dinner and pie, it was time to hit the sales! We all manned our battle stations and the action commenced at 6pm. By 10 pm we were done with all 3 stores we go to down there and got the spend Black Friday morning actually sleeping in for a change. It was weird and nice all at the same time. Then it was back to Papa's to head to your traditional Black Friday breakfast at the Cowboy Club and then back to his house to play a game of Apples to Apples.  After that was over, it was sadly time for us to head home. But we made the most of it and made a stop at The Little Acorn for some dinner and then drove through the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork. The kids loved it, like usual, and Zaden put it best when he told me afterwards," I was smiling when I was looking out my window because I loved them. "  Totally worth it! Here's a few of the many pics I took from my phone.

Saturday morning we started off with some chores then got to enjoy a visit and cinnamon rolls with our friends Allison and Jamie who were in town from Seattle. We spent a couple hours visiting with them and enjoying their company. Thanks Al and Jamie for stopping by! Then it was time to finally get out the rest of the Christmas decorations.  I spent time inside and Mike spent some time outside and we got most of it done. Our pesky little elf, Christopher Pop In Kins, also showed up and brought with him a letter and then surprised us with hockey tickets to see the Grizz! So after dinner, we were off to the game. Christopher was able to score us 2nd row seats and we weren't in our seats 3 minutes when a puck from warm ups came over the glass and landed right in front of Caleb. He was so excited for another souvenir.

Sunday was spent at home watching Christmas movies and starting our advent calendars. Then Mom broke out this years' new ornaments. I buy them each a new one every year. This year I bought them each a Lego ornament to build and then hang on the tree. They had fun building them with our help and they've all been placed on the tree in a spot of their choice.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and napping to try and get rid of the little colds that seem to be on their way for a couple of them. And Mike was able to finish the lights outside. I love them, thanks Hon!

I couldn't have asked for a better 5 day weekend. The only thing wrong with it is that it has to come to an end. Back to the grind tomorrow.
