Sadly, we couldn't stay long in Omaha since we have to get back to work/school. So we set back off after a quick after-wedding brunch and started the road trip back to Chicago. After a stop for some swimming and a quick sleepover halfway back, we were on our way home. But of course, we had a couple of things to squeeze in along the way. Like another cheesy state line pic, naturally.
Then we had a little time before the flight so we surprised the kids with driving up to this oasis on the outskirts of Chicago.
That's right, Legoland Chicago Discovery Center! You would have thought we landed at Disneyland, they couldn't wait to get inside.
Inside we got to see loads of fun exhibits, go into the lab to learn how legos are made, watch the 4D movie in the theater, ride a couple of rides, pick out a little prize in the gift shop and play, play, play!
We had such a good time and we left there tired and satisfied and ready for our naps on the long plane ride home.
It was a whirlwind trip altogether. I'm not even sure how we fit it all in. Another adventure on the books for the Ouren Family!
