Yellowstone Trip- Day 2 Continued (Chuckwagons, Animals and Sunset)

After leaving the Lower Falls/Grand Canyon area, it was time to head back up toward Roosevelt for the chuck wagon ride and dinner. We had saw more elk and a few bison throughout the day and one badger. But the real excitement came when we saw the first black bear along the road. It was too far for any good pics. But still close enough to tell it was a bear.

We got to the corral and rode the wagons out to a meeting area and had some steak dinner and drinks. I think the thing everyone loved the most was getting to see and pet the horses that pulled us.

After we got back to the corral, stuffed and tired, we started the trek back to the rental when what should we come across but yet another black bear! This one was closer and a nice guy that was there with a spotting scope let me and DaNell take a look though it. We got to watch it flip over some rocks and play with a bush through the scope. So fun.
And boy what a view with the sunset this night. We stopped just to take a pic.
And then we stopped in Mammoth Springs Village for some more pics of the elk next to the road. We were close enough to them to listen to them eat the grass.
What a great and exhausting day we had. We all hit the beds pretty soon after getting back to get ready for more fun.
